Mr. David Wright is from Lawrenceville, Ga and graduated from Collins Hill High School. After graduating from high school, Mr. Wright attended Georgia Southern for a few years before transferring to Auburn University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. Additionally, he attended LaGrange College and earned an advanced degree in Education. The 2025-2026 school year marks Mr. Wright's 21st year of teaching at the high school level. Coach Wright is an assistant football coach and assistant girls basketball coach here at HOCO.

Mr. Wright enjoys watching his Auburn Tigers play ball, working on his BBQ Pitmaster skills, and spending time with his family. Mr. Wright is married to Mrs. Dani Wright and they have 2 boys Tyler (17) and Easton (14).
