Education: Swainsboro High School 1995, BM Choral Education Georgia Southern 2000, MM Piano Performance Georgia Southern 2002

Teaching Experience: Director of Choirs at Liberty County High School 2002-2005, Swainsboro Middle/High Schools 2005-2007, Lumpkin County High School 2007-2022, Lumpkin County Middle School 2010-2022, Houston County High School 2022-Present. 

Talmadge Smith Jr. is the director of choirs at Houston County High School. Talmadge conducts five choirs at HCHS. Prior to transferring to HoCo, choirs under his direction consistently receive superior ratings at Large Group Performance evaluation and gold/sweepstakes at the Southern Star Music Festival. Choirs under his direction have been featured performers at the University of North Georgia, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Brenau University, Piedmont University, and Young Harris College. He has had a group perform at the Georgia Music Educators In-service Conference in 2014, and the State Superintendents Fall Conference in 2018. He has been a feature clinician for GMEA Honor Choirs in District 9,13, and 14. Talmadge is on the certified choral judges list for GMEA.

 

Tee is a 9 time region champion literary coordinator and won a state title in 2013. He resides in Warner Robins with his beautiful wife Stephanie and spirited son Tripp. He enjoys: music, video games, traveling, pro wrestling, and spending time with his family.
