Education:

  • Graduated from St. Joseph High School (Lakewood, CA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Spanish, University of Central Oklahoma (Edmond, OK)
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, William Carey University (Gulfport, MS)
  • Educational Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership, Georgia Southwestern State University (Americus, GA)
  • Certificate in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, Universidad de Alcalá (Madrid, Spain)

Mrs. Hilton is certified to teach Spanish K-12, Early Childhood Education P-5, Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies, and English to Speakers of Other Languages.

Mrs. Hilton joined the Houston County High School family in 2022.  Prior to coming to HCHS, she taught at Northside High School 2010-2022, Mossy Creek Middle School 2008-2010, Northside Middle School 2004-2008, and before teaching in Houston County, she taught at Ocean Springs Middle School (Ocean Springs, MS) and Pass Road Elementary School (Gulfport, MS).

Mrs. Hilton is from Oklahoma City, OK. In fourth grade, her family moved to southern California.  That was when she discovered her love of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.  She immersed herself in the various cultural traditions and worked hard to learn the Spanish language.

Mrs. Hilton is married to Jim Hilton, also a Houston County teacher and retired member of the US Air Force.  They have one son, Michael and an amazing granddaughter, Evelyn Rose.  Three cats complete the Hilton family.

Mrs. Hilton loves to travel, meet new people, and explore new cultures.  She loves spending time with her family.  Combining travel with family is the perfect way to enjoy her free time.
