Jennifer Bowers is originally from Byron, Georgia. She graduated cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a degree in International Studies and a minor in French. She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching French degree from Georgia College and State University and studied abroad at the Institut de Touraine in Tours, France. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in curriculum studies at Georgia Southern University. This is her thirteenth year teaching French at Houston County High School, where she also sponsors the French Club and French Honor Society and serves as foreign language department chairperson. When not teaching, Mrs. Bowers enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband Alan and their three children.
