Bio

Mrs. Benefield has worked in education since August 2012. She attended Fort Valley State University and Grand Canyon University. She has a Bachelors in Public Relations and Media Studies and a Masters in Special Education. She began her career in education as a paraprofessional and transitioned to the In-School Suspension classroom as a Special Education teacher to assist administration with school discipline. After her husband took a position in the area in 2021, she moved to Houston County and began working for the Houston County Board of Education as a Elementary and Middle Grades Interrelated teacher in the Behavior Support Program. This year is her first year at the high school level teaching 11th grade American Literature and 12th grade Advanced Composition. During her spare time, she enjoys worshipping and serving at church, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
