Hey! I'm Amanda Heavner and I teach physical and environmental science here at Houston County High School.  This will be my 3rd year here at HOCO, but my 16th year teaching science overall.  During this time I have taught a variety of subjects including anatomy, biology, chemistry, environmental and physical sciences. I graduated from Valdosta State University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.  After graduating, I worked in the hospital setting for a year and decided to through the GaTAPP program to become a teacher.   I have my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my Specialists degree in Teacher Leadership both from Georgia Southwestern State University.
