I am Mrs. Belinda D. Allums and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Mercer University in Macon. While at Mercer University, my concentration was in the area of Special Education, grades P-12.  In 1998, I earned my Master's and Specialist's Degree in Education from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, with a dual concentration in General Education English Language Arts and General Education Science. I am certified to teach Interrelated Special Education, grades P-12 and English Language Arts, grades 6-12.

I have been teaching at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels of education for a total of 26 years.  I have taught 11 of those years in Special Education and 15 years in General Education. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked for two and a half years as a middle school secretary. I have spent a total of 28 years working in some aspect of the field of education.

I have been married to my husband, Jerry for 38 years.  We have three adult sons and three lovely daughters-in-law.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, singing, and writing poetry.  My husband and I recently adopted our sweet dog, Lucille, from the Humane Society.  We enjoy spending time with this adorable pup in the evenings and on weekends.
