Junior and Senior Parents,

On Tuesday, September 26th at 6:00 pm in the theater, we will host
College Information night. Parents and students will have the opportunity to
hear from the Georgia Student Finance Commission and visit with over 25
colleges within our state and university system. Additionally, seniors will be
able to apply for college in the media center with help from their
counselors, as early admission deadlines are approaching. It is a
wonderful opportunity to have questions about post-secondary
options answered by representatives and receive assistance
with the college process.  You don’t want to miss it!

Houston County High School students Daniela Morales and
Alisha Patel were chosen to serve on the
State Superintendent's Advisory Council for 2017-2018.
Congratulations, Ladies!

 Pick-up and Drop-off Procedures

  • Even though parent pick up and drop off is in the front and the back of our school.  We want to encourage you to use the back for pickup in the afternoons.  Using the back parking lot will get vehicles off hwy 96 and prevent traffic from backing up on this very busy hwy.  We also have an officer and several administrators in the back parking lot to assist.
  • Students are only to be picked up using the front and back parking lots.  Students should not be picked up at or near the bus ramp location.
  • If your student rides a bus, please ask them to look at their bus number when they load in the morning so that they will know what bus to ride in the afternoon.
  • If you are exiting the front or the back parking lots, you may only take right turns.  Law enforcement will ticket those who try and turn left.
  • We have moved our student parking in the front of our building this year.  Students who are assigned a place in the front parking lot have specific numbers which indicate their parking spot.  Our student lot is the north west lot in front of our gym.  Visitors need to park in the north eastern lot in front of our theater.

Attention Parents!  Teachers will be conducting (CIPA) Child Internet Protection Act lessons on 8/30/17, 9/6/17, 9/20/17, and 9/27/17 here at HOCO.
