Extra History

Another great, all-encompassing YouTube channel that covers various civilizations, events, and individuals in much more detail than is covered in Crash Course. As the channel itself says, Extra Credit History "explores the little-known but dramatic and exciting adventures in world history!

History Summarized

This YouTube Channel is lesser known than the previous two, but just as good. Like Extra Credit World History, this series focuses on specific events and civilizations but does so as a counter-balance to misconceptions in today's world. One of the first videos they have focuses on who the Persian Empires were unfairly negatively portrayed as the villains of the Classical era in movies like 300. "Sarcastic, yet informative, summaries of classic and not-so-classic literature and mythology, as well as major historical events!"

Simple History

The name says it all. These are videos that are simple and straight to the point. This channel focuses more on early modern and contemporary history. If you're looking for some content for World War I, World War II, and the Cold War, this is your channel.

Feature History
This is one of my favorite channels for pure content. The narrator is well-spoken. Each video gives a lot of context for the topic that's covered. And these videos are more specific so it is great for filling in those knowledge gaps. "Have you ever wanted to learn history from someone wholly unqualified to teach you? Well, Feature History has got you covered!"

History Buffs

probably my favorite history-related YouTube channel; history buffs. This channel analyzes the historical accuracy of many major films that have been made in the past 50+ years. He cites his work, provides a lot of context for why things are portrayed, and gives plenty of background information for those who might not know everything about the events surrounding the chosen movies. Be mindful that this channel is made for more mature audiences, so please watch the videos before you start showing them off.
