Mrs. Wright graduated from Pickens High School in Jasper, Georgia. She attended Mercer University, where she attained her English degree with a minor in Education. Then, she went to the University of Georgia to get her Masters degree in Language and Literacy Education. She worked at Winder-Barrow High School before coming to Houston County High School. At WBHS, Mrs. Wright taught 9th, 10th, and 11th grades at all level -- college prep, regular, inclusion, and English-language-learners.
At HOCO, she teaches juniors all day -- AP Language and Composition, as well as American Literature for all levels. Mrs. Wright is also a co-coach of the HOCO Diamonds Dance Team.
She married Justin Wright in 2011, and for many years, he was a youth pastor in the Atlanta area. They moved to Centerville to revitalize a closed church, now known as Centerville Community Church. They have a dog, Cooper, who is a dachshund/Jack Russell mix.
Mrs. Wright loves reading, going to church, nail polish, scarves, gardening, office supplies, having dinner parties, cooking, baking, cardigans, fall, and crafts generally enjoyed by only blue-haired ladies over the age of 65.
